Friends of the Library announce 2012 Book Sale schedule

Mark your calendars. The Charleston Friends of the Library are pleased to announce their 2012 Book Sale schedule. Whether you're looking for a good summer read or a gift for Christmas, the Charleston Friends of the Library has a book sale for every season with great bargains and good books. All proceeds benefit the Charleston County Library.

Main Library Branch Book Sale

Main Library, 68 Calhoun St.,

June 15-17

Member Event, June 14

30th Annual That BIG Book Sale

Omar Shrine Temple, 176 Patriots Point Road, Mount Pleasant.

Oct. 12-14

Member Event, Oct. 11

That HOLIDAY Book Sale

Mount Pleasant Regional Branch, 1133 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant.

Dec. 7 & 8

Member Event, Dec. 6

Admission is free to all sales. Special member events will be held before each sale for the Charleston Friends of the Library members. To become a member of the Charleston Friends of the Library, visit www.charlestonlibraryfriends.org or call 843-805-6882. Individual membership is $20 annually and will last through December.

Note, the 30th Annual That BIG Book Sale will be held at the Omar Shrine Temple in Mount Pleasant, as the Gaillard Auditorium will be undergoing its transformation during that time. Make sure to spread the word.

The Charleston Friends of the Library, a non-profit volunteer organization, raises money through book sales to help fund library services, equipment, training, materials and public programming. The Friends collect and sort donated books for resale to raise money.
