During this special week, coordinated by the Charleston Restaurant Association, participating restaurants offer prix fixe menus that include three items for one price: $20, $30 or $40. The event began Jan. 12 and runs through Jan. 22. Mount Pleasant resident Lisa Baker and her family have taken full advantage of this year's Restaurant Week, with two restaurant visits under their belts and another night out planned.
Baker, along with husband Joe and teenage son Joey, visited Neil Jordan's for dinner on Friday night, followed by a Sunday night meal at Shem Creek Bar and Grill.
"It's the great prices," Baker said as a reason for participating in Restaurant Week. "It's also nice to try different things you wouldn't normally order and a great time to visit places you've never been before."
Baker and her family plan to visit Jacob's Kitchen for dinner this Friday, and she's not ruling out another meal somewhere else. "It's hard to say," she said."I've printed out a bunch of menus."
