Trident Academy sixth-grader Caitlin Nevill is a winner of the Happy Halls Art Contest, sponsored by MUSC's Children's Hospital Volunteer Services. Caitlin's artwork was one of 430 entries submitted from 31 schools in Charleston County. A panel of judges, including an artist and Children's Hospital staff members, selected the top 50 artworks for display in the lobby of the Children's Hospital for one year.

The artwork provides a colorful, cheerful entrance to the hospital, which helps to reduce the anxiety and fear associated with the hospitalization of a child. The Happy Halls Art Contest is in its 15th year.
