Coastal Kids Dental now open on Daniel Island

Coastal Kids Dental is now seeing patients on Daniel Island.

Dr. Isabel Driggers has reached an agreement with Dr. Zetz, Crescent Moon Orthodontics, to see patients in their office a few days a week.

Dr. Isabel and her team will be the first Pediatric Dentist to see patients on Daniel Island and are excited to bring their "kid friendly" dentistry to the Island. Dr. Isabel lives on the Island with her husband, Jacob, and two boys, Corbin, 2 and Palmer, 1.

Coastal Kids Dental currently sees patients in both Hanahan, which is where the Main office is located, and Moncks Corner. Opening an office on Daniel Island allows Coastal Kids Dental to offer Pediatric Dental services conveniently to the young residents of the Island, as well as help support the growth the Island and it's local businesses.

Coastal Kids Dental specializes in children ages 1 to 18 and special needs individuals of all ages.

Dr. Isabel combines her skill and knowledge as a pediatric dentist with her experience as a mother to provide her patients with a fun and comfortable environment for dental care. Her goal is to provide each patient with a healthy adult smile.

Beef O'Brady's

Beef O'Brady's Family Sports Pubs has a new operation in a familiar location - The Belle Hall Shopping Center on Long Point Road. Beef's originally opened in the space in 2008 but closed in the summer of 2009.

Tom and Penny Kleine, owners of the Beef O'Brady's in Summerville along with their son Stan, took over the space and recently reopened it to a warm reception from the community.

There have been plenty of changes - some easier to see than others. In addition to new ownership, the restaurant has a new staff, new menu, a full-service bar and a new attitude.

Beef's offers dine-in and takeout options from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. In addition to the Happy Hour and lunch specials, the restaurant soon will be hosting a weekly Trivia Battle on Wednesday evenings.

Auctioneer Champ

Linda Page, CAI, MPPA, won the title of South Carolina Bid Calling Champion at the South Carolina Auctioneers Association Conference and Show.

The event was held Saturday, January 9, at the Hilton Garden Suites In North Charleston. She is the owner of Page's Thieves Market, Inc and Page's Okra Grill, LLC. Page also serves on Mount Pleasant Town Council.

She will be representing the state at the National Auctioneers Association Conference and Show this July

Dr. Kerry Solomon

Paul E. Flood is named president of Strand Metals Service, Inc. of Myrtle Beach, SC. His responsibilities include Strand Metals Service, Inc. and its affiliated companies.

Flood has been employed by Strand Metals Service, Inc. since October, 1995, most recently as executive vice president and general manager.

Remodeler's Council

Robert C. Crawford III of Renaissance South Construction Company, a general contracting firm that specializes in restoring and remodeling residential properties, has been named chairman of the Charleston Trident Home Builders Association Remodeler's Council for a one year term that began in January.

This will be Crawford's second time serving as chairman of the council, having previously served in this role in 2006 and 2007.

Crawford, founder and owner of Renaissance South Construction Company and of its parent company, Urban Proper Redevelopment, is a licensed, bonded, and insured general contractor and residential builder in South Carolina. Voted "Remodeler of the Year" in 2006 by the Charleston Trident Home Builders Association, Crawford has earned the designation of Certified Green Professional (CGP), Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), and has fulfilled all requirements for his S.C. Safe Home designation.

East Cooper author Ronald Paxton announced the publication of two new short stories.
