Am I in trouble?
[Subheading]
Friday, March 05, 2010
An officer in a local motel parking lot was about to drive out when a car came barreling in with no headlights on. In the process, she almost ran into the patrol car.
The driver kept going however, and drove around to the back of the hotel then back around to the front of the building. The officer turned around at this point to find the driver parked and getting out of the car, heading towards the lobby.
So, the officer stopped to talk with the passenger, who happened to have a beer sitting between his feet. He said it was not his beer and when told why the officer was checking out with them, he said he had no control over the female driver’s driving. The female then came prancing out of the hotel, saw the officer and walked in the other direction as if to avoid talking to him. He called out to her and she finally came towards them and said, “Am I in trouble?”
The officer explained to her that she almost hit him with her car and she apologized right away. He then asked her about the open container that the passenger would not claim. She said it was not her car and did not know where it came from. The officer asked her if she drove the car often. He asked her this because there were a pair of panties on the floorboard. She said they were hers and that she was allowed to drive the car often. He asked to search the car and she gave him permission. In the meantime, dispatch came back and said the woman’s license was suspended. She was given a ticket for Driving Under Suspension.
