Ashley Elise Mitchum of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Joshua Zeljko Razumich of Virginia Beach, VA, were united in marriage during a double ring ceremony on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at the Summerall Chapel, The Citadel, Charleston, SC.
The Rev. Dr. Robert W. Wallace performed the three o'clock ceremony. Classical and sacred music was performed by Mrs. Nancy Lefter, organist, Mr. Jim Dillahey, bagpiper, Mrs. Julie Diamond, flutist, Mr. Rex Conner, violinist and Mr. Greg Homza, cellist. The service concluded with an Arch of Swords Ceremony.
A reception was held at the Lookout Pavilion, Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, Mt. Pleasant, SC. Guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. John D. Cappelmann, III, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and entertained by the East Coast Party Band.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Craig Mitchum of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She is the granddaughter of the late Ms. Elsie Spiteri Player and Mr. Vinroe Theron Player, both of Sumter, SC, and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Cline Mitchum, Sr., of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She is a 2006 graduate of Wando High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in May, 2010, from the College of Charleston.
The bride wore an ivory Radzimir silk strapless ballgown that showcased a draped bodice with elaborate crystal encrusted appliqués by Priscilla of Boston. She also wore an heirloom aquamarine ring given to her by her maternal grandmother. Her bouquet was arranged with antique hydrangeas, blush peonies, créme garden roses, white stars of Bethlehem, pink berries, white lisianthus and white anenomies. Surrounding the stems of the bouquet was a lace handkerchief monogrammed by her mother.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Zeljko Razumich of Gambrills, MD. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Anderson, Jr., of Gambrills, MD, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Razumich of Gary, IN. He graduated from Archbishop Spalding High School, Severn, MD, in 2004, and The Citadel in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. The groom is currently employed by the United States Navy.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Sarah Elizabeth Fellers of Mt. Pleasant, SC, served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Lee Craig of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Jennifer Megan Gwinn of Laurens, SC, Ashley Estelle Morgan of Little River, SC, and Jessica Mae Razumich, sister of the groom, of Gambrills, MD.
Best man was William Robert Reem of Severn, MD. Groomsmen were Kevin Blanton Drake of Charleston, SC, Jon Paul Duggins of Cowpens, SC, Andrew John Germuth of Pasadena, MD, Charles Scott McLaughlin of Charleston, SC, and Alexander Craig Mitchum, brother of the bride, of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Ushers were Michael Steven Cox of Daniel Island, SC, Vincent Gary Grey of Severn, MD, James Michael Hulon of Charleston, SC, and Adam John Sanders of Annapolis, MD.Serving as flower girl was Olivia Emmaline Kunkle of Cross, SC. Ringbearer was William Landen Stowe, cousin of the bride, of Hanahan, SC.
The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner, preceded by a cocktail hour, on the evening of Friday, June 4, 2010, at High Cotton.
A bridesmaids' luncheon was given at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, Commodore Room, by Mrs. Betsy Cappelmann of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and the bride's aunts, Mrs. Margie Player of Central, SC, Mrs. Marian Player of Raleigh, NC, Ms. Melody Player and Mrs. Tracy Player, both of Chapin, SC.
The couple will honeymoon in St. Lucia and will reside in Virginia Beach, VA.
