Charles "Wimpy" Fulton White, 75, husband of Donna Larsen White of Awendaw, SC, died on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. The relatives and friends of Wimpy White were invited to attend his memorial service at Ocean Grove United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at two o'clock. Inurnment followed in Wilson Cemetery.

The family received friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL on Friday, February 19, 2010, from 6-8 p.m.

Wimpy was born October 5, 1934, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Lance L. White and Lou Sutler White. He graduated from McClellanville High School and attended The Citadel. He served in the United States Army. Wimpy was a commercial fisherman and a member of Ocean Grove United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Donna L. White of Awendaw, SC; children, Stephanie Penninger of Awendaw, SC, Shawn White of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Stephen White of Awendaw, SC and Shelby Geiger of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one brother, Lewis C. White and one sister, Vivian Rector, both of Awendaw, SC; five grandchildren, Christopher and Evan Geiger, Danielle and Camille White and Abigail White. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James White and Lance White and one sister, Blanche Rhodes.

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Ocean Grove United Methodist Church "Building Fund", 6517 Highway 17 North, Awendaw, SC 29429.
