Party house
A woman called police because her brother, who lives with her wanted to have a party and invite all his friends to come over and booze it up. She told him no, because she did not feel like having company and he went into a rage. He slammed a door right off of its hinges and stormed out the door.
She called police and when they arrived they asked her if she was fearful of him.
She said she wasn't because they argue all the time. She said her parents were out of town on vacation and he took that as his opportunity to throw a party. She said he liked to have friends over to drink when they are gone.
She said he had not been drinking when he left and that after they argue he usually returns eventually and apologizes. There wasn't much the officer could do, so they took a report and left.
Fast food
A delivery person was called to a local hotel to deliver some food. When he got there, he parked his car in the sally port and ran inside. He left his car running and delivered the food. He was back outside in less than two minutes, but returned to find his car had been stolen.
He told police that a man with brown spiked hair jumped behind the wheel and drove off.
Police began patrolling the area and gave the delivery man a ride back to the restaurant where he worked. A short time later an officer found the car abandoned in another hotel parking lot.
The only thing missing were the man's keys and his phone. The hotel pulled security footage so they could try and identify the suspect.
Dog poop
Police got a call from a man who was worried about his girlfriend.
He said she made statements on the phone to him about killing herself. When police went to check on her she was fine and said that her boyfriend was lying and trying to be manipulative. She told officers that they have been engaged for eight years and she broke it off and gave the ring back because he had been with other women. She then changed her mind and decided she wanted the ring back but he would not give it to her.
They agreed that she could stay on in the house for a while and he would support her temporarily. However, they have been arguing about their dog because he never leaves any food out for the dog. She said the only comment she made to him was that she could not take it anymore and he was going to end up burying her.
She said she meant that in reference to the dog pooping all over the house. She said her boyfriend does not feed the dog the right kind of food. She said that's what she can't take anymore. She in no way wanted to harm herself.
The boyfriend, after hearing all this, told the officers he would just leave for the night and take his poopy dog with him.
You're cut off
A woman was sitting at home along, waiting on her husband to get off work from his bartending job. Suddenly she heard a tapping on the window behind her couch. This startled her and she called police.
The husband arrived home and told officers that while working that night he had to cut off a patron and ask him to leave because he had too much to drink. He told the officer that the man is a frequent customer and has been asked to leave the bar on several occasions because he always gets so drunk. This particular night the man was extremely rude to the bartender.
And it turns out, this customer lives in the same neighborhood as the bartender, and he knew this because he has had to drive the man home several times.
He and his wife believed it was this customer who tapped on the window because he vandalized their lawn several months prior. Police agreed to patrol the area and told the couple to call should the man cause them any further trouble.
Road debris
Police got a call about debris in the roadway and were told that a car was at the bottom of the bridge and the driver was trying to retrieve the items.
The officer got there and saw the driver loading up a mattress in his truck.
At the time the officer thought that the driver owned the mattress. Nothing seemed suspicious. After he was done loading things up the driver and the officer went on their way. The officer went down the road a ways and pulled off to the shoulder to conduct speed enforcement.
Then another vehicle pulls up behind him and puts on their flashers.
The vehicle stayed there for about 15 seconds and then pulled off onto the road. After the car drove away dispatch called and said a woman called 911 to say that someone had stolen her mattress after it flew off her car. The officer called the woman who said the mattress broke free and she pulled over at the foot of the bridge to think about what to do when she noticed a vehicle pull over on the bridge.
She thought the driver of that truck was going to get the mattresses for her but the truck rode right past her and didn't stop to return her items.
But when she called police it was too late because the driver was no where to be found.
Wire scams
It's one of the oldest scams in the book but an unsuspecting woman recently fell for the old wire scam.
She met a man named Alpha Fountain on a dating site and began chatting with him daily. He told her he was in the military, serving in Iraq.
They talked through email and instant messenger and struck up a friendship.
Then he hit her with a request to wire money from a cashier's check he was sending her. He told her to wire $3,000 to a buddy of his, plus pay the $190 wire fee and keep the remainder for herself.
She did everything he told her and just days later her bank contacted her to tell her the check was fraudulent. She was now out of over $3,000.
Meanwhile, this guy keeps emailing her and instant messenging.
