Miss Dana Brooke Hall and Mr. Patrick Whitlock Hamilton, both of Chester, SC, were united in marriage on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Rock Hill, SC. The Reverend William F. Pentis officiated the two o'clock nuptial mass.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Vance Hall of Chester. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Luther Hall of Chester, Mrs. Brenda Procter Broome of Sharon, SC. Dana received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina and is employed as a sixth grade teacher at A. R Rucker Middle School in the Lancaster, SC.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Earle Hamilton Sr. of Chester. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cornelius McManus Jr. of Mount Pleasant, SC and the late Mr. and Mrs. David Lee Hamilton. Patrick received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University, and is employed as a construction inspector for the SC Department of Transportation in Rock Hill.
Attending the bride as maids of honor were Lauren Leigh Stellmach of Tampa, Florida and Katherine Ann Walpole of Charleston, SC. Also attending as bridesmaids were Miranda Nicole Borders of Blacksburg, SC, Carey Clark Roberts and Annette Carter Patterson of Columbia, and Amanda Bratton Childers of York, all friends of the bride. Flower girl was Mary Cecilia Parker of Roanoke, Virginia, cousin of the groom.
The groom's father, Milton Earle Hamilton, Sr., served as best man. Groomsmen were Milton Earle Hamilton, Jr., of Charleston, SC, and Raymond Cochran Hamilton of Lexington, SC, brothers of the groom, Thomas Wesley Carter, Jr., and Cory Adam Howell, both of Clemson, SC, and Jeremy Paul Reynolds of Rock Hill, all friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Thomas Booker Hamilton, IV, of Charleston, SC, cousin of the groom.
A solo of the Ave Maria was performed by Mrs. Eileen Clark, aunt of the groom, of Greer, SC. Mrs. Rausa Lee McManus and Mr. Joseph Cornelius McManus, III, aunt and uncle of the groom, of Durham, NC, sang a duet of 'On Eagle's Wings'. Scripture readings were given by Mrs. Melissa Blocker Hood, friend of the bride, of Ridgeway, SC, and Mr. Philip Paul Dattilo, uncle of the groom, of Houston, Texas.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at the Rock Hill Country Club. The bride's parents hosted a wedding reception at the Magnolia Room at Laurel Creek. Guests were greeted by Miss Randi Rae Ferguson, of Irmo, SC, friend of the bride, and Mr. Samuel Haines West, of Columbia, friend of the groom.
After a honeymoon to Negril, Jamaica, the couple will make their home in Rock Hill.
