Kermit “Chip” Dean Williams, Jr., 48, of Summerville, SC passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009. The relatives and friends of Kermit “Chip” Williams were invited to attend his Memorial Service on Friday, September 25, 2009 in Christ Episcopal Church, 2304 Hwy 17N, Mt. Pleasant, SC at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.  
    The family received friends at the church prior to the service.
    Chip was born September 20, 1961 in Charlotte, North Carolina, son of Kermit Dean Williams and Geraldine Daugherty Williams.  He graduated from the College of Charleston where he was a member of the sailing team and Kappa Sigma International Fraternity. He was a member of the Charleston Traffic Club, Beach Hill Hunting Club and National Freight Brokers Association.  Chip was a Manager with Tri-Star Freight System, Inc.
    He is survived by his parents, Kermit and Gerri Williams of Spartanburg, SC; his wife of 24 years,     Marla Williams;  sons, Dean Michael Williams (17), Patrick Weber Williams (15) and Jacob Roy Williams (13), all of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother, Michael David Williams and his wife, Kimberly and their daughter, Eden of Reading, PA; and sister, Traci Risner and her husband, Randy  of Donalds, SC.   Chip also leaves behind his beloved dog, Trixie.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorials be made to Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 2304 Hwy 17 North, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
