Roy Keith Kinsey, 50, husband of Dene Kinsey, of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010. The relatives and friends of Roy Kinsey were invited to attend his funeral service in First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Burial was private. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family received friends on Monday from six until eight o'clock at the chapel.
Roy was born November 30, 1959 in Summerville, SC, son of Alice Johnson Kinsey and the late James David Kinsey, Jr. He was a graduate of Clemson University, and worked as an Electrical Engineer with the Department of Defense, based at SPAWAR. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant. He enjoyed golf, boating, fishing and home projects.
He is survived by his wife, Dene Kinsey of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two children, Alyssa and Jacob Kinsey, both of Mt. Pleasant; mother, Alice Johnson Kinsey of Summerville, SC; brother, James Lee Kinsey of Indialantic, FL; and a sister, Donna Kinsey Bowen of Summerville, SC.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, 681 McCants Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
