Mt. Pleasant residents and eighth grade students at School of the Arts. Emily Fairchild, Hiers Childs, Ben Kidder, and Vivek Menon participated in the F.I.R.S.T. LLego League Competition held at Trident Technical College on Jan 30, 2010. They are members of Team RANDOM. Each team maneuvered its Lego robot through challenges and obstacles on a four- by eight-foot LEGO obstacle course. The robot had to complete as many tasks as possible in two-and-a-half minutes. The teams were also graded on  Research skills, Teamwork and Technical aspects of building the Robot. Team RANDOM won First place and will go to the State level competition held at Clemson University on March 6, 2010. Also pictured with the team is Sam Speraw, Regional Director of F.I.R.S.T.
