Sixteen year old Ashley Caldwell qualified for the chance at winning an Olympic medal in aerials ski jumping. She is the daughter of ESAC member Leslie Bryan, and when she is in town, she frequently visits ESAC with her mom on Daniel Island.
Caldwell lives at the Lake Placid Olympic Training Center in New York for most of the year so she can focus on her Olympic dreams. She did not know if she was going to even make it to the Olympics this year because she has her hopes set on Sochi, Russia and the Winter Olympics of 2014, but she far exceeded everyone's expectations by competing and qualifying for the finals. Caldwell, landed both her jumps in aerials ski jumping final on Cypress Mountain at the Vancouver Winter Olympics.
