Bill and Vanessa Rhodes announced the engagement of their daughter Jennifer Lea Rhodes to Michael Charles Cook. All are from Mount Pleasant.
The prospective groom is the son of Kerry Cook of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Charles Cook of Emerson, Ga.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Burke and Mrs. Doris Cook and the late Mr. Charles Cook, Sr.
The bride-to-be  is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Betty Brown and the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther Rhodes.
She is a graduate of both Wando High School and the University of South Carolina. She is employed by Southern Community Services, LLC.
The future groom is also a graduate of Wando High School and is employed by JJKane Auctioneers.
The couple will be married on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at First Baptist Church  in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
