A 19 year old girl called police to say that her husband was on the side of the road in Goose Creek throwing up and her 8 year old child was with her at her own momma's house where she had been staying for the last two weeks. She said her husband was in jail for criminal domestic violence.
She said that when she told her mother she was going to get her boyfriend she was told not to leave the baby behind. she said that was fine and that she would just take the child to go and rescue the puking boyfriend. Her parents would not let her do that either. So that's when the 19 year old called police.
An officer spoke to her mother who said that she has been the one taking care of the child for the last four months and that her daughter just moved in. She said it was not appropriate to take the child with her to the side of a highway at such a late hour. She said her daughter cared more about her boyfriend than she did the child and this concerned her. She added that she had sought the advise of an attorney to gain custody of the infant.
In the meantime, the 19 year old said her boyfriend was picked up by an ambulance and heading to the hospital. She then scooped up her baby to go be with her other man.
