Less than a week away, participating designers and retailers are putting the final touches on their runway shows, event organizers are burning the midnight oil, and the tents in Marion Square are being transformed to host the fourth annual Charleston Fashion Week® presented by the Art Institute of Charleston.  Fashion fever is in the air, if you haven't reserved a seat to catch all the red-carpet action, March 16-20th you better act fast.  Featuring more than 30 runway shows, battling DJs, hip-hop violinist, professional dancers, onsite shopping, and special guests to include actor and new designer Orlando Jones, designer Carmen Marc Valvo, and ELLE fashion director Anne Slowey, this is one ticket you don’t want to be fashionably late to purchase.

In conjunction to the Emerging Designer Semifinalists debuting their collections, Project Runway's fan favorite and Emerging Designer Fashion Panel Judge Mychael Knight, will premiere his provocative new collection as Wednesday's featured designer.  "My F/W 2010 collection Carte Blanche is an unapologetic approach to the aesthetic of the label.  It's about me having the complete authority to do as I please.  I'm excited and honored to debut the fresh and altered spirit of my label at Charleston Fashion Week" Another CFW alum to return to the tents includes, Charleston local and 2009 Emerging Designer Winner, Marysia Reeves whose 2010 Summer/Spring swimsuit line was just featured in Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit edition.

This city is aglow with a flurry of fashion activities to include trunk shows, charity events, and Charleston Fashion Week's shopping event, GO! FASHION running through March 14th. So if your still in search of the perfect outfit, check out the more than 35 retailers in the area offering special promotions and sales in preparation of CFW 2010.
