Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Watkins of Batesburg-Leesville, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Emmerline (Emzi) Rebecca Watkins to Glenn Andrew (Drew) Wewers, both of Mount Pleasant.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. J.C. Watkins, Jr. and the late Mrs. Henrietta R. Watkins and Mrs. Freddie P. Long and the late Mr. Dewey H. Long, all of Batesburg-Leesville.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Wewers of Mount Pleasant. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Wewers and the late Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Glenn, all of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
The bride-elect is a graduate of 2004 Johnson and Wales University - Charleston. She is employed by RiverTowne Country Club as a membership manager.
The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of the College of Charleston. He owns and operates DW Installations in the Charleston area.
The wedding is planned for May 22, 2009 in Mount Pleasant.
