The new valedictorian at Palmetto Christian Academy for the 2013 class is Julia Strout. The Honors College at the University of South Carolina will be the next stop for Strout where she was given the Carolina Scholars Award. She is undeclared at the moment due to the variety of majors that interest her with Art History as a possibility after a trip to Italy her junior year. The supportive community at PCA will be sorely missed for this star student and captain of her varsity girls basketball team.
James Mcgaha is the salutatorian for the class of 2013 at Palmetto Christian Academy. Mcgaha plans to attend the South Carolina Honors College in the fall and will major in Computer Science. His proudest memory at PCA was completing his senior project about the beliefs of the famous author CS Lewis. James will also dearly miss playing on the PCA soccer team with some of his best friends. One thing people may not know about James Mcgaha is that he likes to read the Bible in Greek.
