Judge Kelly, a senior at Wando High School, will join other outstanding musicians from across the  nation as part of Music for Allís 2008 Honor Band of America. Kelly was selected amongst hundreds of applicants from across the country for membership in this prestigious honors ensemble.

   He is the son of Chip Kelly. His band director is Scott Rush ó his teacher is Kate Jenkins.

Kelly is a member of the Internationally acclaimed Wando High School Symphonic Band, South Carolina All State Orchestra, All State Band , All State Jazz Band and the Youth Orchestra of the Lowcountry.  He has performed with the Summerville Community Orchestra and Kings Brass.

    The Honor Band of America will perform in concert, at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 1 at Clowes Memorial Hall located on the campus of Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. The Honor Band of America is a national ensemble that will be conducted by Gary D. Green, director of bands at the University of Miami. Members were selected by taped audition, evaluated by leading music educators.

   The Honor Band of America is part of the Music for All National Festival, presented by Yamaha, Feb. 27- March 1 in Indianapolis. The Music for All National Festival includes the Bands of America National Concert Band Festival, the Orchestra America National Festival and the Bands of America National Percussion Festival, taking place simultaneously in major venues throughout Indianapolis.  Bands of America and Orchestra America are programs of Music for All, one of the largest and most influential national music education organizations in support of active music making.
