Couple renews vows on beach

  • Wednesday, May 16, 2012

When Sarah Rogers first visited Mount Pleasant in 1998 she loved watching the dolphins at the Breach Inlet. She commented that one day, she would like to get married at the beach. Sarah married David Richards in July 2009 in Christchurch, Dorset, England.
Fast forward to 2012.
It was Sarah and David's wish to complete their wedding ceremony by renewing their vows at the beach. They arrived from England with sons Joshua and Callum to visit their family in Mount Pleasant.
On April 1, Elaine Aron Tenbrink officiated the vow renewal of Sarah and David. In attendance were Joshua and Callum, James Rogers of Bournemouth England, Sarah's dad Robert, his wife Debbie, and Sarah's twin sisters Emily and Haley. The ceremony was beautiful and the weather was perfect. An intimate reception was held at the Boat House followed by a honeymoon in Myrtle Beach.
