Fairfield Inn Charleston Airport’s Volunteers Move and Pack Furniture for Charity

  • Monday, January 14, 2013

A team of six associates from the Fairfield Inn Charleston Airport recently provided the muscle power to move and pack 29 rooms of furniture donated by Gateway Hospitality to a nonprofit organization in Atlanta.
The Fairfield Inn’s team of volunteers moved 259 pieces of furniture from the North Charleston Comfort Inn that will undergo a complete renovation. Atlanta-based Hotel Equities (www.hotelequities.com) manages the Fairfield Inn under the direction of General Manager Dawn Wells.
Later this month, Hotel Equities’ volunteers in Atlanta will unload the furniture for the Community Assistance Center (CAC), a nonprofit organization located in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. The donated furniture will help CAC further its mission of providing compassionate assistance to neighbors in need by helping to meet basic needs and promoting self reliance.
Hotel Equities (HE) is an Atlanta-based full-scale hotel management, development and consulting firm. Frederick W. Cerrone, CHA, serves as President and CEO. HE presently has more than 40 properties in its portfolio. For more information, visit HotelEquities.com.
