Daniel Island Academy Announces Open Enrollment

  • Monday, January 14, 2013

Beginning on January 15, Daniel Island Academy will offer Open Enrollment for the 2013-14 School Year for its Full Day, Half Day and Mother’s Morning Out preschool programs. Current students and their siblings may be re-enrolled in advance. Enrollment is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Daniel Island Academy provides a state-of-the-art facility designed with a child’s education and safety in mind. The main courtyard offers an outdoor classroom, complete with gardens and shaded breezeways, plus two playgrounds that are specially designed for younger and older preschool children. Interior spaces are bright and spacious, including a multi-purpose room for indoor play and special events. An integrated curriculum, the Creative Curriculum (Teaching Strategies), is taught using knowledge across all content areas for a learning-through-play approach.
“We look forward to building upon yet another strong year for our school,” stated Kerry Nowosielski, School Director. “Last year we achieved reaccreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, expanded Reference Point®, a powerful tool for mapping a child’s development, and added GenMove as a curriculum enhancement. We also completed a renovation of our outdoor playgrounds, complete with trike paths and the newest offerings in gross motor equipment.”
Enrollment forms are available on line at DanielIslandAcademy.com or by calling the school’s front desk at 843.971.5961. Daniel Island Academy is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Full Day programs offer a “fee simple” tuition plan with no extra charge for lunch, snacks, field trips, and school supplies.
