Sullivan’s Island Elementary principal Susan King won the “My Principal Matters” award.
It was presented to her at the PTA meeting on Dec. 4 by Jackie Meade, the Kaleidoscope director at SIES, Ralph Hayes and Ashley Peters. The National AfterSchool Association “My Principal Matters” Awards Program recognizes excellence in school leadership and celebrates highly effective afterschool collaboration between principals and afterschool programs leaders. The program is designed to be an event to honor principals who share relationships with afterschool personnel and show commitment to the development of extended learning opportunities for children and youth in school.
