The Miss Charleston/Miss Summerville Scholarship Pageant Committee is seeking Miss and Teen contestants for its annual pageant on Feb. 2.
Miss contestants should be between the ages of 17 and 24 or a graduating high school senior. Teen contestants should be between the ages of 13 and 17. The Miss and Teen winners will represent the Lowcountry at the Miss South Carolina and Miss South Carolina Teen pageants this July. The Miss and Teen South Carolina pageants are a preliminary to the Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen pageants.
The 2013 Miss Charleston/Miss Summerville pageant will take place on Feb. 2 at Sterett Hall. The production theme will be “Ladies of the 80s” and will feature performances from previous titleholders. Contestants will compete in the categories of private interview, lifestyle and fitness, evening wear, talent and on-stage question before a panel of judges including a cast member of a nationally aired television program.
