The Sewee Visitor Center is very fortunate to have residential Red wolves. Wolfman Rob conducts the discussions and feedings on Saturdays from 11 a.m.-noon and Tuesdays and Thursday from 3-4 p.m.
Francis Marion National Forest Cleanup. PalmettoPride and the USDA are teaming up once again for the sixth annual Francis Marion National Forest Cleanup. Volunteers meet at the Forest Service office located at 2967 Steed Creek Road in Huger. Volunteers will then be sent out to designated areas throughout the 260,000 acre forest. All cleanup supplies will be provided and cookout lunch will be served. Call 1-877-725-7733 for more information. The dates for the clean-up days are Saturday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. and Friday, Feb. 15 through Sunday, Feb. 17.
Calling All Dirt Devils and Soil Scientists. Take a look at some extreme
examples of soil as well as everyone prepare for spring. Itís time to be prepping the yards with native plants and the gardens with those incredible, edible vegetables. Children will start their own garden. Call the center to register for this free program.
