Coastal Expeditions offers young naturalist day camps on teacher workdays

  • Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Coastal Expeditions, Charleston’s original outfitter, has developed day camps during teacher workdays, holidays and spring break to offer a fun, back-to-nature experience for students ages 8 to 15. The camps will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the scheduled days, beginning with Martin Luther King weekend (Jan. 17, 18 and 21).

Coastal Expeditions has worked with students for 18 years, leading camps, field study programs and camping trips. Programs include Young Naturalist Kayak Adventure Camp, Island Quest field trips to Bulls Island and South Carolina Outdoor Education Program.

Day camp registration is $80/day. Campers should bring drinking water, bagged lunch and a change of clothes.
