Box of rocks

  • Friday, January 18, 2013

A local resident stopped into the police department recently to report suspicious activity. he told an investigating officer that he sells phones over the internet using Ebay. He said he sold a phone to a lady in New York and the buyer sent the money to his pay pall account. The next day he shipped the phone out to her.

A few weeks later he received the box that had been shipped back to him with a sticker on it that said "address unknown." The victim opened the box, only to find the box full of rocks. The man attempted to contact the buyer with no response. He said the buyer has not asked for a refund yet, but Paypall said to file a police report in case she did.

The rocks were observed and taken in as evidence.
