A coach at a local school overheard two students having a conversation that didn't sound right. According to the report one student asked the other if he could have a few of his M & M's. The other student said, "trust me. You don't want any of this."
The coach then approached the students and asked what as in the candy bag. He then reached for it and felt that it was not candy, but possibly marijuana.
The student with the candy then turned and ran away. The staff was on the lookout for the student who was eventually found and escorted to the office. A school search was conducted and the candy bag was found, but it was now empty. It smelled strongly of pot.
The report said the student initially denied having marijuana but eventually admitted it. She said she flushed the drugs in the toilet.
The student was not criminally charged but will face a punishment through the school.
