CCSD Gala provides community with creative opportunity to honor educators
“Better than a thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher.” - Japanese Proverb
By the time most students graduate from high school, they will have spent almost 10,000 hours with their teachers. It seems most everyone has a story about an educator who has touched his/her life.
An Evening with the Stars Winter Gala: International Indulgence (Feb. 22) will honor all school-based Teachers of the Year, but students, families, community members and fellow educators are invited to recognize any inspirational and motivational educators who have made a difference in your lives. Purchase a personalized international flag to be displayed at this year’s gala to honor educators. After the gala, flags will be provided as special gifts to honored educators.
Flags may be purchased for $5 each and will include a special message (50-word limit) to/for those educators selected by students, parents, fellow educators, and/or community members. After the gala, flags will be provided as special gifts to the honored educators.
Visit the Gala website (www.ccsdschools.com/Academic/AchievementAccountability/TeacherPrincipalEffectiveness/gala2013.php) or the Honor an Educator page (www.razoo.com/story/Star-Teachers) to purchase a minimum of two flags ($10), or call April or Cherie at 843-937-6418 to learn more or to purchase an individual flag ($5).
