Corey Caulder only needed to score nine points. She put up 22.

The sophomore Palmetto Christian Academy girls basketball standout reached the 1,000-point plateau Tuesday night at Dorchester Academy, as the Eagles won 59-49.

The victory also clinched the region championship for Palmetto Christian. Caulder also added six rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals.

Julia Strout pitched in 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Lizzie Wilson had 12 points. The Eagles pulled away in the fourth quarter with a 19-12 scoring advantage.
