Tickets remain for “Perfectly Paired Dinner” at Red Drum, March 1 and for “Rigs, Pigs + Swigs” at the Mount Pleasant Visitors Center in Waterfront Park, March 3.
“Perfectly Paired Dinner” is highlighted by Adam Perry Lang of New York City’s Daisy May BBQ and Ben Berryhill teaming up to bring a five-course menu of various barbeque and southern flavors. Hook & Ladder Winery will also be onhand for wine pairings, presented by expert Michael DeLoach.
The event starts at 7 p.m. and costs $175 per person. Red Drum is located at 803 Coleman Boulevard. For more information, visit http://charlestonwineandfood.com/events/friday-perfectly-paired-event/.
Bold barbeque flavors is again the theme of the night two days later at “Rigs, Pigs + Swigs.” It is considered the grand finale of the festival, hosted by premier pitmasters from all over the South. Beer, wine and cocktails complement a feast of pulled pork, brisket, seafood, chicken and other items.
The Bushels will be onhand for live music and entertainment. Some featured chefs and pitmasters include: Aaron Siegel, of Home Team BBQ; Billy Quinn, of JB’s Smokeshack; and Buist Rivers, of Lowcountry Eats.
