  • Friday, February 8, 2013

Communities In Schools, the leading organization dedicated to empowering students to stay in school and achieve in life, is proud to announce that its Charleston affiliate has been chosen as the beneficiary of ticket sales from the HGTV Dream Home 2013. The 17th HGTV Dream Home is located at Indigo Park on Kiawah Island, 21 miles outside historic Charleston. The home will be available for tours on Feb. 14-18, February 22-24, March 1-3 and March 8-10.

This year’s dream home is 3,000 square feet and features a large gourmet kitchen along with a double-height great room. The upstairs hosts two bedrooms, each with a private bath and a loft living area.

“We are honored to have been chosen by Dyal Compass as the beneficiary of the proceeds from the HGTV Dream Home 2013 tours,” said Communities In Schools of the Charleston Area Executive Director Jane Riley-Gambrell. “Not only is this great exposure for the Lowcountry of South Carolina, it also offers CIS the opportunity to raise awareness regarding the importance of education and receiving a high school diploma.”

The HGTV Dream Home 2013 grand prize package, including the fully-furnished Low Country Zen coastal home, a 2013 GMC Acadia Denali and $500,000, is valued at over $2.2 million, and will be given away to one lucky winner once the tours end. Enter for your chance to win twice daily, once on www.HGTV.com/dreamhome and once on www.FrontDoor.com/dreamhome, through Feb. 15.

Tickets to tour the home are $20 each and guests wanting to tour the home are asked to reserve a tour date online when tickets are purchased. To learn more, visit www.hgtvdreamhometours.org
