Going a little overboard

  • Sunday, February 17, 2013

Police were called to a grocery store parking lot in regards to an assault between a father and a son. Police located the victim who said that his father hit him with a closed fist in his left arm and chest. The son said he was fine and he did not need medical attention. He said the argument happened because he was uncomfortable driving his father’s truck. He said his dad had a lot of items stacked up in the bed of the truck and he was unable to see out of the rearview mirror, according to the report. In addition, he told his father he was concerned about the items falling out of the truck and hitting another vehicle. He said his father got very angry and began to hit him. He said he then hit his father back to get him to stop. Neither wanted to pursue charges. The father told his son he was not welcome back in his vehicle and the son walked home.
