911 consolidated dispatch begins today

The Mount Pleasant Police Department announced that on Feb. 20 beginning at 6 a.m. the Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch Center will begin all telecommunications operations for Mount Pleasant Police and Fire Department.

In the event of an emergency, residents should continue to call 911.

To report non-emergency fire and police incidents, Mount Pleasant residents should call (843) 745-4000.

In the event that a Mount Pleasant resident would like to speak with the Chief of Police or administrative staff, they should continue to call the administrative phone number for the Police Department (843) 884-4176.
