Krissy McKown visited the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, as part of her post doctoral work in philanthropy, fundraising and global studies with New York University. She brought the Moultrie News with her as she attended briefings with many United Nations organizations on topics including world health, climate, development, disarmament, intellectual property and human rights. She was able to observe part of the 20th session on human rights, along with most of the 193 member states. McKown also met with Ambassador Betty King from the U.S. Permanent Mission to Geneva, Ambassador Wu from the Chinese Permanent Mission to Geneva, Ambassador Demiralp from the Turkish Permanent Mission to Geneva and many other world diplomats.
