WOW! That is absolutely wonderful. The other pup I know of in Belle’s litter is Fritz von Kolnitz’s dog, also aging. It was a great litter.
Why don’t you put that picture in the paper with their comment and see if we can find any more in Belle’s litter?
Thanks so much. She has meant everything to us as we have no children. It is breaking our hearts after nearly 14 years but arthritis n’ kidney disease are taking their toll and not sure how mu h longer she has. Glad at least we got her back to warmer climate after 7 years in Greater Des Moines Iowa (Polk City) near Ames n’ Iowa State University. We absolutely loved it there too... seven months out of the year!!!! Nice folk you’d ever want to know.... but then we’re Midwestern from Indiana n’ Ohio originally anyway.

I was curious if you have an email address for Suzannah Smith Miles?
We have returned to the Lowcountry after 7 years away and still have a puppy we adopted in 1999 from her sweet dog Belle.
Our Miss Bea is over 13.5 years old now and is very ill with kidney failure setting in... I just wanted her to know what a wonderful dog she has been and enclose a picture from our days in Iowa taken summer of 2011. If she were living in the area, I’s love for her to see her in person and enjoy a connection to her Belle and the father, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever... cute litter from her Old Village days in Mt. P. and working at Moultrie News. We say the picture of the litter on the cover of the Moultrie news of the pups swimming in a play pool and could not resist.
