Jim Wheatley (left) and Brian Cheuvront of Mount Pleasant toured Mayan sites with the Moultrie News in Guatemala just before the holidays. They bravely visited the temples at Tikal (with Temple IV in the background) on Dec. 18, 2012, just a few days before the Mayan calendar predicted the world was going to end on Dec. 21.
