Charleston Academy of Music Student Recital at CofC
CHARLESTON- Students from the Charleston Academy of Music (CAM) will perform on Thursday,
March 7 at 6:00pm at the Simons Center for the Arts Recital Hall (54 St. Philip Street, College of
Charleston). The piano, strings, and vocal performers vary in age and skill level and will present pieces
by various composers. All are welcome to attend this free event.
Located in downtown Charleston, CAM enriches the city’s cultural life, nurtures musical talent, and
believes people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life should have equal access to the many wonders
of music. At CAM students are empowered to become achievers by receiving superior professional
musical instruction and performance opportunities through the core programs: Academy, Honors, and
Orchestra. CAM students and families enjoy many opportunities for performance and additional musical
experiences such as masterclasses and workshops with distinguished visiting musicians.
CAM is currently accepting flute, clarinet, piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, and voice students for its
