I’m not drunk
A concerned citizen called police to report a possible drunk woman at a local shopping center. The concerned citizen gave police a description and they quickly found the woman about to get into a car.
The officer asked the woman to speak with him, according to the report, and explained the situation. She assured the officer she was not drunk and questioned why anyone would say such a thing.
The officer then asked for her identification but she didn’t have one or a license, according to the report.
Her male passenger was also asked for an ID and he also did not have one. Neither party was wanted but an inquiry determined that female had a suspended licence.
The female said she was shopping with her sister and her boyfriend and they could not find her sister. But the officer found that suspicious since the entire back seat was taken up by a baby seat and packages.
That’s when the female said her sister was going to catch another ride home.
The female tried continuously to get her sister on the phone. They finally reached her and she said she would come to the scene. The sister told the police officer she was never with them at the shopping center.
The officer, however, was nice enough to let them leave with the sister after explaining to the female that she could not drive the vehicle on a suspended license.
The woman did not appear to be intoxicated and was told to find a licensed driver to come and pick up the car.
