Michelle West of Daniel Island stopped in front of the Baha’i House of Worship in Wilmette, Ill., just outside Chicago with a copy of the Moultrie News. The temple is one of seven in the world. The unique structure stands for unity and invites prayer to God. The durable ornamentation resulted from an innovative process of casting concrete panels composed of quartz crystals and white cement to form the temple’s intricate, lacy exterior.
