Mount Pleasant resident Kay Steinkamp and her cousin, Susan Jowers of St. Cloud, Fla., were guardians on an Oct. 24 Honor Flight from Myrtle Beach to Washington D.C. While in the nation's capital, the group, which included (from left) World War II veteran Ted Vinzani of Florence, Susan Jowers, Kay Steinkamp, veteran Bob Wolford of Conway and veteran Tom Lytle of Pawley's Island, stopped at the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial with a copy of the Moultrie News.
