Select Health wins PR award for diversity communication campaign

Select Health of South Carolina was a top four finalist and received honorable mention in the diversity communications category at PR News’ Corporate Social Responsibility Awards luncheon, held Feb. 11 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
Select Health was acknowledged for its culturally competent cervical cancer screening initiative aimed at reducing health disparities among African American, white and Hispanic/Latina women on First Choice, the state’s first and largest Medicaid plan.
This statewide initiative was led by Mount Pleasant resident Jill Lemay, culturally and linguistically appropriate services (CLAS) coordinator at Select Health, who represented the North Charleston-headquartered corporation at the awards luncheon, as well as Jennie Butler of Summerville and Kimberley Williams of Columbia.
