Pi day

  • Thursday, March 21, 2013

Mrs. Peters-McGuire’s seventh grade students at Cario Middle School celebrated Pi Day (3/14, 3.14) on Thursday, March 14. They spent the day exploring various edible circles and the relationship between Pi, the circumference and the diameter. The day’s events included a Pi Bee to see who could memorize the most digits in just three days. Grace Cutter (wearing yellow in the bottom right) was named the winner with 74 digits and Valerie Hughen with 33 digits (center, wearing orange) was named the runner-up. PHOTO PROVIDED
