Pharmacy robbed

Mount Pleasant Police Department spokesman Major Stan Gragg said that East Cooper Family Pharmacy reported an armed robbery Monday at 9:45 a.m. According to the incident report, the suspect is described as a male, possibly white, wearing a camouflage jacket and blue jeans.

The suspect had on a face mask and blue latex gloves. He was reportedly armed with a 9mm handgun, according to the police incident report.

The suspect was said to have stolen medictaion.

Officers responded to the scene, called in for a K9 unit to respond and established a perimeter. Once certain the suspect had left the scene police entered the business with the complainant and found only one other employee inside.

The police report said the store does not have in-store video surveillance. The K9 dog tracked the suspect's trail from the business entrance to a nearby parking.

The case in under investigation. Anyone with information should call the police department at 884-4176.
