The March of Dimes Signature Chef’s Auction, presented by Legacy Wealth Management, highlights Charleston’s finest chefs and features live and silent auctions. It is scheduled for Sept. 5 at the Marriott on Lockwood Boulevard. This is the 75th anniversary of the March of Dimes. There is a lot to celebrate, but still a lot of work to do, especially here in South Carolina where the state ranks 48th in terms of preterm births. Ninety three cents of every dollar raised locally stays right here in South Carolina.

The March of Dimes held a kick-off party at Peggy and Billy Swails’s house to preview the event and enlist sponsors and volunteers. There were more than 60 people in attendance. The local chapter is looking for great sponsors and volunteers. For more information, please contact mrepik@marchofdimes.com.
