Gansrow returns to baseball with Pro Performance Baseball Academy
Opening a baseball training facility in an area that has developed high school and college baseball all-stars seemed like a natural choice for Pro Performance Baseball Academy owner Tim Gansrow.
The Mount Pleasant resident has open Pro Performance Baseball Academy training facility on Wando Park Boulevard within the popular Velocity Sports Performance Training Center.
Gansrow has already made an impression with the residents in the Mount Pleasant as one of the popular instructors in the area for players of all ages for youth, travel and high school baseball and fastpitch.
As the cornerstone of Pro Performance Baseball Academy, Gansrow was a solid all-around baseball player in college, excelling at hitting and fielding.
Coupled with his passion for the game and being an excellent communicator, he went on to a position as hitting instructor at a college in the northeast.
With a growing family, Gansrow’s path led him to become a police officer and first responder. After 20 years of service as a New York Police Department Supervisor and FBI task force lead for terrorism, Gansrow, his wife Tracy and their three children settled in Mount Pleasant.
Gansrow then faced an even greater challenge in cancer. After winning that battle after years of chemotherapy, he had an epiphany to return to his true love: baseball.
With hundreds of young players now attending Pro Performance Baseball Academy in such a short time, the future looks exciting for developing young players into the best they can be.
“We recently added camps for April 3-5 and summer camps held at Mount Pleasant Recreation during the week of July 22 and with Daniel Island Recreation during the week of July 8 to keep up with the demand,” Gansrow said in a news release.
Pro Performance Baseball Academy is a leading provider for professional baseball and softball instruction for players of all skills and ages 5 to adult.
