Active Release Techniques (ART®) is a patented movement based massage technique used worldwide to treat soft tissue problems, and Drs. Paul Kukes and Nathan Karpinsky have brought this cutting-edge treatment to Mount Pleasant. ART can be used to effectively treat numerous conditions including headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow. Kukes and Karpinsky are the only two Full Body Certified ART providers in Mount Pleasant. More information on ART can be found at http://www.activerelease.com/what_patients.asp.

At Elite Health Solutions, Drs. Kukes and Karpinsky perform a thorough examination along with functional movement assessments to develop an individualized rehabilitation plan for each patient. These plans utilize a variety of techniques including chiropractic care, McKenzie End Range Loading, Kinesio Tape Application, personal training as well as ART. The goal of each rehab program is to address the core of the issue to permanently resolve the problem instead of simply providing temporary symptom relief.

Recent transplants from Chicago, Ill., Drs. Kukes and Karpinsky opened Elite Health Solutions in January with the hope of sharing their healing expertise with the active community of Mount Pleasant. They have experience treating all levels of athletes, and are looking forward to the opportunity to volunteer their time with local high school athletes to help improve performance, recover from and prevent future injuries.
