See if your dog is a good citizen

  • Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Southeastern Therapy Animal Resources (STAR) will offer a canine good citizen (CGC) test at the annual Pet Fest celebration on Saturday, April 13, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pet Fest is held at Palmetto Island County Park in Mount Pleasant ($1 park admission).

There are 10 simple parts of the test (details on the AKC web site at www.akc.org). If your dog passes, you have the option of a certificate or, new this year, an actual AKC title. The fee for the testing is only $5.

STAR is a 501c3 non-profit group that works with therapy teams in the tri-county area. Contact Michelle Austin at 843-817-6131 for more information.
