The serene nature and cultural preserve of Caw Caw Interpretive Center is opening its doors to trail runners for a 5K race.
Dubbed Where the Wild Things Run, the event will take place on Saturday, April 27.
This spring, nature lovers get a little slice of heaven as they make their way through the trails of the beloved park during a 5K off-road run.
Runners will be rewarded with beautiful vistas and hopefully a wildlife sighting or two. Caw Caw Interpretive Center is a 654-acre site in Ravenel that is rich in natural, cultural and historical resources.
The beautiful site features over seven miles of trails with trailside exhibits, elevated boardwalks through wetlands, historic rice fields, a former tea farm, wildlife habitats and more.
The race will begin at Caw Caw Interpretive Center at 8:30 a.m. on April 27.
An award ceremony with light food and beverages will be held following the race.
T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register prior to April 20.
