“THE MAGIC OF A MOMENT” at JENNIE MOORE ELEMENTARY
The “MAGIC OF A MOMENT” annual PTA REFLECTIONS ART Awards Ceremony was a huge success filled with hundreds of parents, teachers, students, friends, and art enthusiasts who attended the ceremony to encourage and cheer on the budding young artists. It was a great opportunity for the kids to combine fun, recognition and encouragement in the arena of the ARTS.
Mrs. Karen Felder, Principal & Mrs. Susan Fitz, VP proudly presided the annual PTA Reflections.org Awards Ceremony on Jan 22, 2013. They called to the stage all 76 aspiring artists who submitted entries. The emerging artists were celebrated for their original creations in six art categories. The promising prodigies shook hands with The PTA Reflections Chair,
Dr. Elizabeth Dillon as they received their ribbons, awards certificates and special mementos.
The local 1st place JENNIE MOORE Reflections Winners are divided in Primary (4k-2nd Grades) & Intermediate ( 3rd-5th Grades).
1.Dance Choreography: Primary- Rose Di-Mambro-Dillon, Intermediate - Lena Matthews
2.Film Production: Cameron Sebuck, Isabella House
3.Literature: Legare Jenkins, O ‘Malley Jenkins
4.Musical Composition: Rose Di-Mambro-Dillon, Kenna Howley
5.Photography: Cille Wren, Jolie Crunelle
6.Visual Arts: Sarah Mason, Kenna Howley
JENNIE MOORE Elementary Students have won circa 20 Awards at the District Level.
This includes all the schools in Charleston County. On March 23, at 11 am the PTA Reflections Charleston County Awards Ceremony will be celebrated at
E. A.Burns Elementary School in North Charleston. The Selected Winners from Charleston County subsequently entered to compete in the SC State Contest with those winners advancing to the ultimate PTA National Reflections Art Competition. Several JME students have also won at the SC State. Go JME!
